I wish to inform all students that the University will re-open for 2014/2015 academic session on 27th October 2014 and registration will commence immediately. Students should endeavour to check the University website for the second semester examination results as well as the summary of academic status for 2013/2014 academic session and other relevant information.
The University has very limited number of bed spaces in the hostels for accommodating students. The eligibility criteria (determined from time to time toreflect availability and accommodation needs) during 2014/2015 academic session gives priority to newly admitted students, level 400 students, physically challenged and international students. Some female students in levels 200 & 300 might be given accommodation in the female hostel if there are vacant bedspaces after accommodating all the newly admitted students and the level 400 students that have been offered accommodation. The allocation of bedspaces will be on basis of first-come, first-served. Reservation ofbedspaces by eligible students willbe revoked after 7days if they have not been occupied.
Interested returning students will be provided with accommodation during the second semester when we have bedspaces from the hostels that are currently under construction. This will also be on basis of first-come, first-served.
Students that are given accommodation during the second semester will be required to pay 50% of the accommodation charges.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Students Affairs Division if you have any enquiries.
Thank You.
Yours faithfully,
Prof A.M.KUNDIRI
(Dean of Student Affairs)
