Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta – In its bid to maintain the academic standard the College was known for as the “Centre of Academic Excellence”, the College Management, having considered the report of the Examination Malpractice Committee on the involvement of twelve (12) students suspected to have engaged in examination malpractices in the second semester 2016/2017 NCE Full Time examination and PDE examination, has rusticated Seven (7), suspended Four (4) and expelled One (1).
Below are the names of the concerned students which comprise both NCE and PDE Students:
OYETUNDE JOSEPH (15/1506, BED), AKINYEMI OMOLADE ELIZABETH (ENG/POL, 16/0787), ADEBAYO EMMANUEL OLUWAMAYOWA (15/1069 CSC/MATH), EWIRI MOSES CHUKWUMA (16/0052 CRS/POL), SAMUEL ESTHER OLUWASEUN (15/1201, ISC/BIO), FAGBENJO OLUWASEUN G. (12/0630 YOR/SOS), IBIKUNLE DOYINSOLA O. (14/0263, ECO/MAT), ADENIJI OLUWAGBENGA AYOOLUWA (17/4042, ECO/POL), OGUNBADEWA OLUWATOYIN (14/4129, PED [DM]), KOLEOSO AMINAT (14/4121, [PED DM]), OWOLABI VICTORIA (PDE 16/0098) while PATIA OYEYEMI (13/4346, PED [DM]) has been expelled with immediate effect for absconding with her script from the Examination Hall and altering the figures on her school fees receipt.
Other students placed on probation, especially, those on overall probation were advised to improve on their academic performances so as to avoid being asked to withdraw from the College if they were still on overall probation at the end of 1st semester 2017/2018 Academic Session.
It is worthy of note that all rusticated students would be reabsorbed into the College after fulfilling the necessary conditions as stipulated by the College Management.
